Comic Sans is a font for younger kids, Times New Roman is a formal font and all fonts have their own personality. Comic Sans should be used for kids, not for formal letters. Times New Roman should be used for formal letters, not kids. I really like the font Bradley Hand ITC. It would be more of a kid font, than a formal letter font. I think it's a really unique handwriting. Bradley Hand ITC is a font that should be used for kids invites, kids assignments, or anything kid related.
The three items on my genie are a piping bag, cake and chef's hat. I chose the chef's hat because it represents a baker, such as Buddy Valastro, and my third wish. I chose a piping bag because all cake decorators use a piping bag and it represents my second wish. The cake is something you could get at a bakery and represents my first wish. My genie is tan and from the color theory website, it represents dependability and flexibility. I used hex code #fed7ae. I chose to make my genie tan because bakeries should be dependable and flexible. Bakeries should be flexible to make each cake unique and you should be able to depend on them to make what you want. I found the smudge tool to be really cool. I was able to add a darker blonde to my genie's hair and smudge them together. I was also able to add a lighter blue to the end of the tail and smudge it to create a sort of ombre affect at the end of the tale. I didn't really like any of the other tools. I found them harder to use than the smudge tool.
Erin Pavlina once said, “There’s a genie inside of you waiting to hear your three wishes; in fact, he may already be granting your wishes even if you don’t realize you’re making them.” I don’t need a genie to have luck; I just need a boost, something that motivates me to set goals for myself and help me aim to achieve them. When I was given a chance to create a website with the theme of Genie in a Bottle: Three Wishes, I couldn’t wait to get started. It’s not every day that you are given such an opportunity. Anyways, I was finishing cake decorating one day, when I decided to try one of the cupcakes I had made. I had been extremely proud because I had managed to make cupcakes look like hamburgers; they even had a little toothpick in them. When I picked one up and pulled out the toothpick, a genie flowed out through the little hole left from the toothpick and offered me three wishes. I knew what I have always wanted, and when I thought more in depth, I realized there were three things that revolved around one: cake decorating. I remembered how I had wanted to own a successful bakery that I could call my own. I knew that to do it, I would need to be an outstanding cake decorator to survive in today’s economy. My idol, Buddy Valastro (Cake Boss), could teach me to be an extraordinary cake decorator, and so an internship could really help me. I hope my website helps others realize that wishes can come true; you just have to believe in the genie inside of you.
