Caitlin Beirne
Lake Shore Girls Varsity Bowling 2013-14
My name is Caitlin Beirne. I am a junior at Lake Shore High School and will be a part of the class of 2016. My dream career is to be a math teacher and a cake decorator. I do my best to achieve good grades and I do not give up on my goals. My favorite subjects would be chemistry, math, and art. I am responsible, happy to give help to anyone who needs it, and I’m quiet. I am on Lake Shore's Girls Varsity Bowling Team. People say I am amazing at cake decorating and painting nails. I like to paint nails, decorate cakes, read, and go bowling in my free time.
I hope I can become a math teacher and a cake decorator. I have done a lot of bake sales, decorating classes, and I’ve tutored some of my friends in math and chemistry, so I believe those will help me be a cake decorator and take on my career path. I want to just be a cake decorator but I can’t decorate cakes all the time; being a math teacher is a good career path that I would enjoy as well. I am good in all subjects, including algebra, English, and chemistry. On the weekends I have bowling practice and after school I help my friends with homework. I was a swimmer in middle school and a soccer player in elementary. My goal is to make a great career of being a cake decorator and a math teacher.
A quote that inspires me dearly is “No one is perfect… that’s why pencils have erasers.” –Author Unknown. I found this quote while I was on Google last year. I love this quote because every week I hear someone say, “I’m perfect” or “I don’t need change,” which is a lie. Everyone has room for improvement and no one will ever be perfect. I live by this quote because I know I can never be perfect but that doesn’t mean I can’t try. I’ve tried pencils without erasers and I’ve made more mistakes than usual. Whoever said this quote, is a genius and proves that no one is perfect; we all make mistakes.
