The three items on my genie are a piping bag, cake and chef's hat. I chose the chef's hat because it represents a baker, such as Buddy Valastro, and my third wish. I chose a piping bag because all cake decorators use a piping bag and it represents my second wish. The cake is something you could get at a bakery and represents my first wish. My genie is tan and from the color theory website, it represents dependability and flexibility. I used hex code #fed7ae. I chose to make my genie tan because bakeries should be dependable and flexible. Bakeries should be flexible to make each cake unique and you should be able to depend on them to make what you want. I found the smudge tool to be really cool. I was able to add a darker blonde to my genie's hair and smudge them together. I was also able to add a lighter blue to the end of the tail and smudge it to create a sort of ombre affect at the end of the tale. I didn't really like any of the other tools. I found them harder to use than the smudge tool.
Erin Pavlina once said, “There’s a genie inside of you waiting to hear your three wishes; in fact, he may already be granting your wishes even if you don’t realize you’re making them.” I don’t need a genie to have luck; I just need a boost, something that motivates me to set goals for myself and help me aim to achieve them. When I was given a chance to create a website with the theme of Genie in a Bottle: Three Wishes, I couldn’t wait to get started. It’s not every day that you are given such an opportunity. Anyways, I was finishing cake decorating one day, when I decided to try one of the cupcakes I had made. I had been extremely proud because I had managed to make cupcakes look like hamburgers; they even had a little toothpick in them. When I picked one up and pulled out the toothpick, a genie flowed out through the little hole left from the toothpick and offered me three wishes. I knew what I have always wanted, and when I thought more in depth, I realized there were three things that revolved around one: cake decorating. I remembered how I had wanted to own a successful bakery that I could call my own. I knew that to do it, I would need to be an outstanding cake decorator to survive in today’s economy. My idol, Buddy Valastro (Cake Boss), could teach me to be an extraordinary cake decorator, and so an internship could really help me. I hope my website helps others realize that wishes can come true; you just have to believe in the genie inside of you.
I think Photoshop is really cool and yesterday was my first time using it. Four things nonprofessional photographers would use Photoshop for are: to keep track of their photos, to make their photos look better, to present their photos in a creative way, and to share their photos with others. Three ways for applying edits in a quick fix are thumbnail previews, slide bars, and the auto button. Saturation is the intensity of the color. Hue is the overall color. I learned how to edit parts of a photo using the hand tool to select parts of the photo. I learned the quick fix controls and how they each work differently to get what you want. Is there a way to cut part of a photo out and add a different background? Shortcuts: Hand tool: hold spacebar Undo (zap): ctrl z Marching ants: ctrl d Brush size: (increase) ] (decrease) [
The article is called Three Wishes by Erin Pavlina. The topic of the article was: If you could have three wishes, what would they be? The only person you have the right to change is yourself, so don’t change the world. Erin Pavlina realized the genie in the lamp is actually inside of you. You are the genie in your own life. You need thoughtful wishes and if you work hard toward them, you’ll grant your own wishes. I agree with Erin Pavlina. Only you can grant your wishes. A genie is inside of you but you need to work hard to earn your wishes. People who don’t work hard, are not just going to stumble upon a $1 million. Hard working people can achieve their goals. Isn’t that what wishes really are, just goals that you want accomplished? I am choosing the theme of cake decorating. One of my wishes would be to do an internship with Buddy Valastro. I want to learn more techniques from him. My second wish would be to own a successful bakery. My goal is to own a bakery and be a cake decorator. My third wish would be to become a successful cake decorator. If I’m going to decorate cakes, I want to make others happy with the product. 1) consciously (http://definr.com/consciously) adv : with awareness; "she consciously played with the idea of inviting them" [ant: unconsciously] 2) responsibility (http://definr.com/responsibility) n 1: the social force that binds you to your obligations and the courses of action demanded by that force: "we must instill a sense of duty in our children"; "every right implies a responsibility; every opportunity, an obligation; every possession, a duty"- John D.Rockefeller Jr [syn: duty, obligation] 2: the proper sphere or extent of your activities; "it was his province to take care of himself" [syn: province] 3: a form of trustworthiness; the trait of being answerable to someone for something or being responsible for one's conduct; "he holds a position of great responsibility" [syn: responsibleness] [ant: irresponsibility, irresponsibility] |
